Dr. Jeanette J. Bieber

Dr. Jeanette J. Bieber, Emeritus Professor of Information Resource Management at MSU Billings, established the Bieber Endowment for Students with Disabilities in 1996 in memory of her parents, John and Lenora Bieber. John and Lenora, who farmed in South Dakota and later moved to Billings, Montana, raised their son Jim who had severe cerebral palsy. According to Dr. Bieber’s wishes, the endowment provides financial assistance to adults with disabilities to make life easier for them, their parents, and family. The first scholarship was awarded in academic year 1996-1997.

Impact

“I am so thankful to receive this award and that you and your parents have been so thoughtful and generous to complete strangers, like myself. It’s nice to know there are generous people out there that care. I have little support from family and friends, so your encouraging words mean a lot to me.” – Jessica K., Management and Marketing majors
