C. Bryn Nelson Memorial Endowed Scholarship
Bryn Nelson was a dedicated, motivated, professional educator who passionately engaged in the education of children, both in the regular and special education classrooms. She gained the motivation to be an educator in her family at an early age, and applied herself to achieving that goal at Eastern Montana College. She let nothing, including a lack of funds, stand in her way of a degree. She worked in Libby, Montana, and at school to finance her education. She broadened her classroom learning with volunteer work helping those with special needs. She was active in student government. Recipients of this scholarship are expected to demonstrate the commitment to a degree in Elementary and Special Education that meets the criteria outlined above, or ideally, exceeds these criteria to match Bryn’s dedication to her profession. The first scholarship will be awarded in academic year 2004-2005.
