Charles Beardsley Endowed Art Scholarship

Charles Beardsley Endowed Art Scholarship

Charles Philip Beardsley entered Eastern Montana Normal School (now MSU Billings) in 1928. He was class president of his class and was the first male graduate of EMNS in 1929. Charles believed that providing scholarship funds for the study of art would allow students a means to improve their and others lives. In 1982, Charles established the Charles Beardsley Endowed Art Scholarship to provide scholarship funding to students studying art at MSU Billings. The first scholarship was awarded in academic year 1988-1989.

Impact

“I am currently majoring in Art with hopes of becoming a gallery owner. The financial assistance you provided will be of great help to me in paying my educational expenses, and it will allow me to concentrate more of my time for studying and creating artwork.” – Meliah B., Art major
