Creative Writing Endowed Scholarship in Memory of Ben Gloege

The Creative Writing Endowed Scholarship in Memory of Ben Gloege was established in December 2002 by Randall and Mary Beth Gloege in memory of their son, Ben. Ben died in a drowning accident in Portland, Oregon, in June 2000. He was a creative and artistic young man. The scholarship endowment provides financial assistance to MSU Billings students who excel in creative writing. The first scholarship was awarded for academic year 2010-2011.

“I’d like to sincerely thank you for this scholarship! My dream is to one day be a novel editor at a publication company in Seattle, Washington. I also want to be a published author one day. This scholarship will help me achieve my dream that I never would have guessed I would have… This scholarship is another step toward my passion.” – Malia S., English major
