Dennis E. Moos Memorial Endowed Scholarship
Judy Adams Moos established the Russel Smith Adams Memorial Endowed Scholarship in 1982 in memory of her husband, Russel. As an accountant herself, Judy wanted to provide scholarship assistance to accounting and information systems majors at Montana State University Billings. The first scholarship was awarded in academic year 1988-1989. Judy later married Dennis E. Moos. Together, they were a good business team. He was the builder, she was the business person. Dennis’ lifetime career in concrete construction began in 1960. Sadly, Dennis passed away peacefully in 2016 of complications from pneumonia. In memory of Dennis, Judy appropriately renamed the scholarship endowment the Dennis E. Moos Memorial Scholarship Endowment. The first scholarship in his name was awarded in academic year 2018-2019.
Impact
“MSU Billings is a big part of me. In some ways, it has taught me to be more responsible, independent, and all-around thankful that I am able to attend college because some people do not have the luxury that I was blessed with… I want to thank you again for this opportunity. It opens up so many more doors for me than you know.” Justyce C., Accounting major
