Health and Human Performance and Promotion Endowed Scholarship in Memory of Dr. Ernesto A. Randolfi
Sandy Wong says a sense of philanthropy was instilled in her as a freshman at Eastern Montana College (now MSU Billings). Sandy was able to graduate from EMC in 1983 almost debt free because of financial aid and scholarships. “I support MSU Billings and help raise funds because others did it for me. I want to share some of that blessing to help others afford higher education,” she said. Sandy used her degree to forge a successful and well-respected banking career in the Billings, Montana, community. Her desire to give back to the University and at the same time honor Dr. Ernesto Randolfi, chair of the Department of Health and Human Performance, resulted in the establishment of the Health and Human Performance Recognition Scholarship Endowment in 2006. In 2011, upon the passing of Dr. Randolfi, the scholarship was officially re-named the Health and Human Performance and Promotion Scholarship Endowment in Memory of Dr. Ernesto Randolfi. The scholarship fund provides financial assistance to students majoring in Health and Human Performance. The first scholarship was awarded in academic year 2007-2008.
Impact
“It is incredible to know there are efforts like your own to help those who work hard to achieve their goals. For hard work in the classroom and on the baseball field to pay off is one of the greatest feeling imaginable… MSU Billings has been a positive stepping stone in my life that I will never froget. The kindness of you to award this scholarship has made a great difference in my future endeavors.” — Jarod P., Health and Human Performance major with a Performance Option
