Jane F. Vaughan Non-Traditional Student Endowed Scholarship

Jane F. Vaughan Non-Traditional Student Endowed Scholarship

Jane Vaughan made a gift in 2005 during the People, Pride and Promise Campaign for Excellence to establish the Jane F. Vaughan Non-Traditional Student Endowed Scholarship. Jane was a distinguished alumna of Eastern Montana College (now MSU Billings) whose extraordinary generosity will provide many non-traditional students the opportunity to fulfill their dreams of a college education. Jane passed away in July 2013 at age 92. The first two scholarships were awarded for academic year 2006-2007.

Impact

“I am so honored and excited to have received the Jane F. Vaughan Non-Traditional Student Endowed Scholarship. This scholarship will help me greatly to further my double major in both Elementary and Special Education. I am a non-traditional student on a mission to be a teacher and build a future for myself. I have chosen these two fields as I have discovered a real passion for working with students that have special needs. I grew up learning that respect is earned and hard work is rewarded. Your contribution to my education has brought a new light to these values that were taught to me as a young child growing up. Thank you again for your generous contribution to my education.” — Quincy P., Elementary Education and Special Education major
