Jean King Rahn Memorial, PEO Chapter E Endowed Scholarship

Jean King Rahn was an active member of PEO Chapter E. She left a bequest to MSU Billings Foundation to establish the Jean King Rahn Memorial – PEO Chapter E Scholarship Endowment fund. Her hope and intent was to provide financial support to deserving young women. This scholarship fund is a fitting way to continue her interest and support of PEO. The first scholarship was awarded in academic year 1986-1987.

Impact

“I wanted to take a moment to thank you for my selection to receive the Jean King Rahn Memorial – PEO Chapter E Endowed Scholarship. Your generous support as I work toward my Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services and Sociology is welcomed and appreciated. I have always had high expectations for myself and take my commitments seriously, so the decision to return to school after several years in the work force wasn’t one I made lightly. I didn’t come back simply to earn a piece of paper, I wanted to challenge myself, grow, and be better for the experience. I wanted to come away from school, not just with a degree, but with the ability to make a difference in my community and the world. Than you again for your generosity and for the legacy of philanthropy that this scholarship represents.” — Kendra C., Human Services and Sociology major
