Maxine Rawlins Patek Endowed Scholarship
Maxine Rawlins Patek was born January 3, 1914. She graduated from Eastern Montana College (now MSU Billings) in 1938 with a teaching degree in elementary education. She taught for many years in the Billings area before retiring in 1976. Maxine died of natural causes on October 3, 2006. In memory of Maxine, her daughter Vicki Christman and Vicki’s husband, Phillip, established the Maxine Rawlins Patek Scholarship Endowment to provide financial assistance to incoming freshman majoring in elementary education. The first scholarship was awarded for academic year 2008-2009.
