Mike Dimich Memorial Endowed Scholarship
The Dimich family donated a cabin at Deadman’s Basin to the MSU Billings Foundation. Upon the sale of the cabin in 1991, the Mike Dimich Memorial Endowed Scholarship was established. This scholarship is awarded to a Montana resident with at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA. The student must demonstrate financial need and be involved in the medical field. The first scholarship was awarded in academic year 1994-1995.
Impact
“I was very happy and appreciative to learn that I was selected as the recipient of the Mike Dimich Memorial Endowed Scholarship. I wanted to send my thanks for your generosity and for opening the scholarship to non-traditional students. Going back to school at age 30 has been a challenge in itself. The financial help that you have provided will allow me to continue to focus on studying to become an effective nurse. Thank you again for providing this scholarship for me, and for those the last 23 years.” — Ashley Z., Nursing major
