Mike Ross Endowed Scholarship
As a past trustee and treasurer of the MSU Billings Foundation, Mike Ross earned a reputation as a thoughtful planner and creative problem solver, helping the Foundation with a number of critical ventures. While treasurer, he helped the Foundation structure a feasible plan for the acquisition, renovation and operation of the College of Business building, now named McDonald Hall. Mike shared his time, knowledge and resources to provide educational opportunities for MSU Billings students. Although Mike’s term on the Foundation’s Board of Trustees ended in 2004, he continued to stay involved with the Foundation in other ways and, by establishing the Mike Ross Scholarship Endowment, has left a legacy with the Foundation to support MSU Billings and its deserving students. The endowment provides scholarship support in perpetuity for high achieving students with financial need. As Mike said, “It’s all about the students and the need to provide them with a quality education.” The first scholarship was awarded in academic year 2002-2003.

Words cannot express the amount of appreciation I have for such a generous contribution to my education. MSU Billings has given me a chance to discover my complete potential as a person. It has broadened my horizons and brightened my future for many great successes. Nothing more can be asked of a university. I cannot thank you enough for your generosity and your belief in my education endeavors. Most of all, thank you for believing in me.
