Montana Society of Public Accountants Scholarship

Montana Society of Public Accountants (MSPA) is a non-profit organization of tax and accounting professionals who are dedicated to offering accounting, management, and tax services to the general public. Organized in 1953 and recognized as a tax-exempt organization, the primary purposed of the organization is education of members. MSPA also offers continuing education for all accountants to promote the highest standard of ethical conduct, protects the rights to practice, promotes a respected public image of accountants and tax professionals dedicated to the public practice, and provides scholarship funding to accounting students. In 2001, MSPA adopted an administrative rule to annually fund a scholarship for an MSU Billings upper level accounting student. MSPA believes that it is necessary to support future accountants in Montana. The first scholarship was awarded at MSU Billings in academic year 2001-2002.
