MSU Billings University Women

The MSU Billings Faculty Women’s Club was founded in 1958 as the Eastern Montana College Faculty Women’s Club to provide fellowship, information programs, and social activities for women faculty and wives of faculty. It was a source of support and information for newcomers to campus. For a number of years, the Club gave a scholarship each year to a woman student. With the emphasis on continuing education, it was voted to include the immediate families of club members as eligible.

In 1992 the Club, then known as the MSU Billings University Women’s Club, established a scholarship endowment fund at the MSU Billings Foundation to provide financial assistance to students who were relatives of MSU Billings faculty. The Club went dormant in June, 2003, but the scholarship endowment will remain a permanent fund at the MSU Billings Foundation. The first scholarship from the endowment was awarded in academic year 1995-1996.
