Nancy Ferguson Downer Memorial Scholarship

As a memorial to Nancy Ferguson, we the husband, sons and friends of Nancy are setting up a fund in her name. Nancy was a counselor first in Broadview and Rapelje, then nearly 30 years counselor in Billings School District 2 school system retiring in 2006. She was also the first president of the Montana School Counselor Association. She was a soprano singer who would sing at the “Messiah Festival” and as a member of the Billings Chorale singing Handel’s Messiah. A favorite passage from this work is Isaiah 9:6, for unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall upon his shoulder: and his name shall be wonderful COUNSELOR. The mighty God, the everlasting Father, The Prince Of Peace.
