Par Montana

Par Montana, formerly ExxonMobil, has demonstrated a long-term commitment to MSU Billings through its financial contributions. True to a corporate core value that education is one of the most important elements of a thriving community, ExxonMobil established the ExxonMobil Mathematics and Science Education Scholarship at MSU Billings in 1998 to provide financial assistance to students planning to teach math or science after earning their degree. As a technology-based company, Par Montana supports initiatives to improve math and science education in the United States. The first scholarships at MSU Billings were awarded in academic year 1998-1999. This scholarship has been combined into the Par Montana Process Plant Technology Scholarship.

In 2000, Par Montana established the Par Montana Process Plant Technology Scholarship at MSU Billings to provide financial assistance to City College students enrolled in the Process Plant Technology program of study. The first scholarships at MSU Billings were awarded in academic year 2000-2001.

Through its foundation and corporation, Par Montana engages in philanthropic activities that advance education, health, and science in communities where Par Montana has significant operations.

Impact

“I would like to extend my appreciation and thanks for this scholarship because it will allow me to continue to better my education and my knowledge while in this program. I intend to continue on and become an operator inside of a refinery. This scholarship will make it possible for me to continue working on my knowledge and experience in the Process Plant Technology program. Thank you very much.” -Matthew Mocabee
