Phyllis Jean Lewallen Memorial Nursing Scholarship

Phyllis Jean Lewallen graduated from Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, Minn., as a registered nurse in 1949. Her mother-in-law graduated from the same hospital in 1918 as a registered nurse. The value of education was a strong family value. She worked as an R.N. at Bozeman Deaconess Hospital and for nine years at Billings Deaconess Hospital. She was a well rounded individual contributing to her family and community. she will be honored by her legacy of helping individuals better themselves by obtaining an R.N. degree. She was proud of her profession and friends from her graduation class.
