Shannon Weatherly Memorial Endowed Scholarship

Shannon Weatherly Memorial Endowed Scholarship

The Shannon Weatherly Memorial Endowed Scholarship was established in 1984 by Frances Weatherly in memory of her daughter, Shannon Weatherly. Shannon was tragically killed during a camping trip when hunters fired into her tent. The scholarship endowment supports female graduate students pursuing a master’s degree in special education. Frances Weatherly passed away in August 2014. The first scholarship was awarded in academic year 1887-1988.

Impact

“I am pleased to accept the Shannon Weatherly Memorial Endowed Scholarship at MSU Billings. As a graduate student in the Special Education Department, the scholarship will help me with my goal of becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Again, thank you for awarding me this scholarship. It will help me to continue my own learning and helping others for years to come.” — Anna H., Special Education Advanced Studies major
