Shannon Weatherly Memorial Endowed Scholarship
The Shannon Weatherly Memorial Endowed Scholarship was established in 1984 by Frances Weatherly in memory of her daughter, Shannon Weatherly. Shannon was tragically killed during a camping trip when hunters fired into her tent. The scholarship endowment supports graduate students pursuing a master’s degree in special education. Frances Weatherly passed away in August 2014. The first scholarship was awarded in academic year 1987-1988.
Impact
“I am pleased to accept the Shannon Weatherly Memorial Endowed Scholarship at MSU Billings. As a graduate student in the Special Education Department, the scholarship will help me with my goal of becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Again, thank you for awarding me this scholarship. It will help me to continue my own learning and helping others for years to come.” — Anna H., Special Education Advanced Studies major
