Veraldi Family Endowed Scholarship
Anne Veraldi established the Veraldi Family Endowed Scholarship in 1996 in honor of her father, Dr. Louis Veraldi, Emeritus Professor of Business Education and Office Administration. Dr. Veraldi joined the faculty at Eastern Montana College (now MSU Billings) in 1955. He enjoyed a long career teaching business courses, including accounting and his favorite, business law. He served for many years as chairman of the business department. Toward the end of his career, Dr. Veraldi supervised many of the college’s student teachers all over the state. After his retirement in 1986, he took great pride and satisfaction in the successes of his many former students who still live in the Billings area. Dr. Veraldi passed away June 24, 2007. The first scholarship was awarded in academic year 1997-1998.
Impact
“Thank you so much for your generous support through the Veraldi Family Endowed Scholarship! It is truly a blessing to receive such a kind gift from a family who desires to see young men and women grow in their education. This is my first scholarship that I have received and was delighted to read about how the scholarship come into existence at MSU Billings. Your wonderful scholarship lessens the burden of student loans for my wife and I . It also helps me to obtain a business major at MSU Billings, where I hope to use the knowledge I obtain to possibly run my own nonprofit someday or teach the children in the neighborhood business skills. Once again, thank you so much for your kind donation to helping me pay my way through MSU Billings. It is a gift that I truly appreciate and will not take for granted!” — Drew T., Business Administration major
