Yellowstone Valley Kennel Club Endowed Scholarship

Yellowstone Valley Kennel Club Endowed Scholarship

The Yellowstone Valley Kennel Club Scholarship Endowment was initiated and established by the Yellowstone Valley Kennel Club on December 12, 2007, with a gift of $10,000. Dr. Rhonda Dillman, Assistant Professor of Chemistry at MSU Billings, is a member of the Yellowstone Valley Kennel Club and was instrumental in establishing the scholarship. The endowment will provide scholarship funding, preferably to pre-veterinary majors. The first scholarship was awarded in academic year 2009-2010.

Impact

“Thank you for the financial support that the Yellowstone Valley Kennel Club Endowed Scholarship will provide for me. Having the assistance and recognition from an organization means a tremendous amount to me. Before, paying for college tuition and supplies was always in the back of my mind. I have constantly pressured myself to work harder and longer so I could avoid taking out student loans. Thanks to your recognition, I can spend more time volunteering at animal shelters and shadowing other veterinarians… I don’t believe I can thank you enough or express enough gratitude for this scholarship and how much it means to me, but thank you again for supporting me and MSUB!” — Caitlyn R., Biology major
