Zonta Club of Billings Scholarship
Zonta is an international non-profit organization, with about 45 members in Billings, Montana, and more than 30,000 worldwide that works to advance the status of women. The Zonta Club of Billings provides service to the community through domestic violence awareness, grants for community agencies, scholarships for students, and volunteer labor for local non-profit organizations. Established in 1950, the Billings organization of 45 executives and professionals is dedicated to the advancement of women through education, economic stability, legal and legislative equality, health and wellness, both locally and worldwide. Since 1993, Zonta Club of Billings has sponsored an annual scholarship at MSU Billings to students from Yellowstone County. The scholarship provides the financial aid needed for them to secure an education that will influence their current and future lives.
Impact
“I want to thank the Zonta Club of Billings for their generous scholarship. I am truly honored to receive it. I hope to generously give back to the community using the education I have earned here at MSUB. This institution has given me so much support and encouragement and they have been a true community for me. Thank you again.” — Marya P. Public Relations major
