Carbon County Recognition Scholarship
In a continuing effort to expand educational opportunities and partnerships in Carbon County, this scholarship was established at MSU Billings from the proceeds of the MSU Billings Red Lodge Golf Tournament. The Carbon County Recognition Scholarship is available to a Carbon County resident or graduate of a high school in Carbon County and Montana resident with financial need. Additionally, the recipient must be a full-time enrolled student with a minimum of 12 credits per semester. This award is available to freshmen through seniors in college. Traditional students must have a 3.0 high school GPA and must maintain a 3.0 college GPA while receiving scholarship; non-traditional student must have a high school diploma or GED and must maintain a 2.5 college GPA while receiving scholarship. Traditional student must have letter of recommendation from high school counselor or high school teacher; non-traditional student must have letter of recommendation from community member.
